Interim Financial Controller

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a fast growing manufacturing business as they look to recruit a interim financial controller to support the managing director as the business continues its growth journey 

Key Responsibilities 

Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts.
Lead the preparation and review of monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
Oversee the balance sheet, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
Ensure robust financial controls and processes are maintained across the business.
Provide meaningful analysis around costs, margins, production performance and profitability.
Work closely with operational teams to improve financial visibility and performance.
Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Improve processes, controls and reporting.
Assist with year-end accounts, audit and statutory reporting.
Provide financial support on operational and business improvement projects.
Act as a key finance partner to the senior leadership team.

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), although strong qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered.
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based environment.
Strong understanding of management accounts, financial control and month-end reporting.
Experience with stock, inventory, standard costing, production costs and gross margin analysis.
The ability to quickly understand a business and make an immediate impact
