Description:

A qualified and experienced local government finance professional is required by my London client for a period of circa 6 months. Working as part of the technical accounting team, your role will be focussed on Close Down reporting as well as supporting with the budget strategy and MTFS reporting.

Day to day you will report into the Chief Accountant and the main focus of the role will be to provide support for the closure of accounts and notes to the accounts. You will also be responsible for technical updates and audit preparation, including working with external auditors and responding to their queries. The role involves a lot of analysis and solving queries, particularly related to divestments and the correct accounting treatment.

To be considered for the role you will need to be a fully qualified CCAB accountant with previous Local Government and closedown experience.

The requirement is circa 1 day a week in the London office and the rate is £550 to £650 a day inside IR35
