Interim Planning Enforcement Officer
London Based
£32-£35 per hour (Via an Umbrella Company)
Full time - 1-2 days in office/on site per week
3 months rolling contract.
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in London to facilitate the appointment of a Planning Enforcement to join the council's planning department.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Investigating complaints and reports of potential planning violations, such as unauthorised developments, breaches of planning conditions, and unpermitted land use activities.
Conducting site visits and inspections to assess the nature and extent of alleged violations, gathering evidence, and documenting findings.
Liaising with property owners, developers, stakeholders, and members of the public to address concerns, provide information on planning regulations, and facilitate resolution of enforcement issues.
Issuing enforcement notices, stop notices, breach of condition notices, and other enforcement actions in accordance with relevant legislation and council policies.
Monitoring compliance with enforcement notices and taking appropriate follow-up actions.
Maintaining accurate records, case files, and documentation related to enforcement activities.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Experience working within a Local Authority setting.
Previous experience in planning enforcement, development control, or a similar regulatory role.
Experience managing complex stakeholder relationship.

This role is an initial 3-month contract with extension and offering up to £32-£35 per hour paid via an Umbrella Company Dependent on experience. Office or sire visits are 1-2 days per week, with the remainder remote.
