About The Role
Interim Deputy Manager - Fixed term 3 months 
 
Oakfield House £26,813 to £29,738 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week
 
As a deputy manager you will be supporting our Home Manager to continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals. Our passion is making a difference and our focus is to strengthen interests and aspirations by offering a holistic, engaging, and person-centred environment.
 
A day in the life of a Interim Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care Involves: 

Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance, with the regulatory framework, organisational objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
Deputising in the manager’s absence and be a creative and innovative leader that supports the home to be a specialist excellent service.
Participating in the Companies “Out of hours” service.
Supporting the staff team with the transition of residents in and out of the home.
Helping to co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
Acting as a mentor to new staff and co-ordinate their induction into the home.
Supporting the supervision of all staff and report on compliance.To be a successful Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:

A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and working towards your Level 4 
At least 2 years working within a care home/ childrens home
At least 1 years experience within a team leader/senior role 
A good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support model as this underpins the way in which Orbis Educations & Care supports all the individual’s living in the home.
Experience of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
Ability to work independently, meet targets and supervising staff.
Awareness of new developments / standards / best practice in the sector.Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
