Building Safety & Compliance Manager
Interim | £400-£450 per day | Hybrid Working | 3-6 Month Contract
A well-regarded Housing Association on the South Coast is seeking an experienced Building Safety & Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of its resident and building safety function.
Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you'll play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance across a diverse housing portfolio, with responsibility for building safety, contractor management, compliance assurance, and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a small team responsible for resident and building safety.
Oversee compliance programmes covering fire, gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, and lifts.
Ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met.
Manage fire risk assessments, remedial works, and compliance-related projects.
Support Building Safety Act requirements, including safety case development and reporting.
Monitor contractor performance, budgets, and service standards.
Provide compliance assurance, risk management, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
About You
Extensive experience within housing compliance, resident safety, or building safety.
Strong knowledge of key compliance disciplines, particularly fire safety.
Experience managing contractors and large-scale compliance programmes.
Leadership experience with the ability to drive performance and continuous improvement.
A relevant qualification in property, construction, compliance, building safety, or a related field.
