Supporting children with ASD and Communication Needs
Full-time role from September 2024
Unique School Solutions are supporting a Multi-Academy Trust in Sheffield with their recruitment for their Integrated Resource Units based across 3 Primary Schools in the North-Sheffield area. The successful candidates will be based within 1 of the Integrated Resource Units within the S4 or S5 postcode areas.
The duties of the role are to provide teaching & learning support to children within the Integrated Resource Unit under the direction of the IRU Teacher. The children access a bespoke curriculum and teaching methods in line with their EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan). The ideal candidate will be someone who has a genuine passion for supporting learners with SEND and has an interest in building a career within SEND Education.
Essential requirements for the role:
* Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or above/equivalent
* Experience and understanding of supporting children with SEND (ASD & Communication Needs)
* Recent experience in relevant learning strategies e.g Literacy & Numeracy

* Primary Schools located in S5 and S4
* Bespoke Integrated Resource Units on site of the Primary Schools providing specialist education to children with ASD and Communication Needs
* All Schools graded "Good" by Ofsted
