• Monitor relevant legislation, industry requirements and compliance obligations
• Coordinate management reviews and prepare supporting reports and information
• Monitor agreed objectives, performance measures and improvement plans
• Promote a positive approach to quality, safety and environmental responsibility
• Provide practical guidance to managers and employees on company processes
• Support training and awareness relating to the management system

The successful candidate

• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Experience supporting or carrying out internal audits
• Strong document-control and record-management skills
• An understanding of non-conformance, corrective action and root-cause processes
• Confident communicating with employees, managers and external auditors
• Able to manage priorities and follow actions through to completion
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, organised approach
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for compliance activities

Desirable experience

• Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment
• Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training
• IOSH, NEBOSH or a relevant quality, environmental or health and safety qualification
• Experience preparing a business for external ISO certification audits
• Knowledge of environmental and workplace health and safety legislation
• Experience supporting continuous-improvement initiatives
