Instrumentation Technician

Description:

We are currently recruiting an experienced Instrumentation Technician/Engineer based in Grimsby.

The Instrument Engineer will work within a small team of Electrical engineers and designers delivering engineering solutions for a current large-scale project.

Providing technical advice and guidance on engineering activities that affect more than one department.

Duties:
- Design and implement control systems including hardware design and software programming.
- Develop and maintain instrumentation systems to monitor and control production processes.
- Conduct testing and calibration of instrumentation devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure project success.

Requirements:

* HNC or above in a relevant engineering discipline

* COMPEX 12 Application Design Engineer certification would be preferred.

* Previous experience in a similar Instrument & Systems Engineer type role, directly within the oil and gas industry, is preferred.

* Design experience would be preferred.

* Applicants should have experience with management of change processes and requirements.

* Applicants will be expected to have experience in the use of standards (IEC61511 and BS EN60079) instrument and general engineering specifications & datasheets; design calculations (e.g., I.S. calculations) control systems design requirements; understanding of engineering diagrams (e.g., P&ID’s, loop diagrams, pneumatics drawings and termination drawings).
