Our client is a leading provider of engineering and maintenance services for the oil and gas industry. Their commitment to safety, quality, and innovation has earned them a reputation for excellence. They are currently seeking a skilled Instrument Pipefitter to join their dynamic team for a short-term contract role at Bacton gas terminal in Norfolk.
Job Description:
As an Instrument Pipefitter, you will play a crucial role in the re-tubing of existing high-pressure equipment. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems that are essential for the operation of the gas terminal. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair instrument tubing and piping systems for high-pressure equipment.
Interpret and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, and schematics.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Perform pressure testing and leak detection on re-tubed systems.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrument piping systems.
Qualifications:
Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in pipefitting.
SHEA Gas Certification an advantage though training can be provided.
Proven experience as an Instrument Pipefitter, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of high-pressure piping systems and instrumentation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.
This is a short-term contract role, from 4th – 12th July. Travel and accommodation paid if required.
