About the Role:

As an Instructional Designer, you will play a central role in crafting innovative and impactful learning programs tailored to diverse audiences, thereby facilitating significant advancements in skill development and professional growth. Based in our client's vibrant Perth office, this position offers a unique opportunity to assume leadership in the conceptualisation, design, and execution of transformative educational projects.

Your work will have a global reach, affecting learners across various sectors by providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in today's fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.

Responsibilities

Engage with Learning Partners: Regularly interact with Learning Partners to identify and articulate learning needs, ensuring that educational programs are both relevant and practical.
Analyse Source Content: Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to review existing materials, gaining a deep understanding of the needs of both clients and learners to inform targeted educational solutions.
Craft Learning Designs: Develop innovative and effective learning designs that meet client requirements and promote genuine skill and behavioural changes.
Produce and Oversee Design Documents: Create detailed design documents, including scope definitions, and guide the development team, serving as the "product owner" throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop Comprehensive Blended Solutions: Combine off-the-shelf content with customized materials to create comprehensive learning solutions that cater to various learning preferences.
Implement Integrated Project Management Approaches: Adopt an integrated approach from the requester’s perspective to meet business and educational objectives smoothly and effectively.
Create Captivating Learning Materials: Develop engaging and interactive content using text, multimedia, assessments, and simulations to accommodate diverse learner styles.
Instruct on Design Methodology: Train content developers in the principles of instructional design to ensure consistency and quality across learning materials.
Coordinate with Project Management: Collaborate with project management to establish and refine project plans and processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in Improvement Initiatives: Actively contribute to internal efforts aimed at continuously improving the quality and impact of learning programs.
Deliver Impactful Learning Experiences: Focus on providing robust and high-impact learning experiences, leveraging insights from past projects and current industry trends to optimize costs.
Offer Expertise in Educational Design: Provide expert advice and creative solutions in educational design to ensure that learning materials are engaging and achieve desired outcomes.
Comply with Learning Management Standards: Operate within the organization’s Learning Management Framework and Governance to ensure compliance and quality.
Ensure Brand Consistency: Apply the organization’s branding guidelines meticulously when creating learning materials to maintain brand alignment.
Align Learning with Strategic Goals: Ensure that learning initiatives support and reinforce the organization’s strategic objectives, thereby enhancing overall business performance.
Align Learning with Operational and Business Priorities: Tailor learning content to align with the organisation's operational, business, and HSE priorities.
Manage Projects Efficiently: Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, maximizing resource utilization and efficiency.
Conduct Tracking and Reporting: Provide all necessary tracking data within the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) and produce required reports to facilitate project evaluation and adjustments. About you

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher.
Preferred: Diploma of Training Design and Development or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong portfolio of successful instructional design projects.
Proficiency in using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and RISE.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams. What is in it for you?
