Position: Installation Engineer (North of England)
Reporting to: Operations Manager and Installation Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 plus VAN and fuel card
Job Type: Permanent (subject to a six-month probation period)
Holiday: 31 days including Bank Holidays (three days over Christmas mandatory)
Pension: 6% company contributions
Location: Installation sites primarily in the North of England, with projects extending into Scotland (being based in the North is therefore highly desirable)
Must hold: Driving Licence, CSCS Card
Desirable: SSSTS training, IPAF card, cladding/panel building knowledge
Venatu Recruitment Group are delighted to support a rapidly growing, thoughtfully evolving design & build company that produces high-quality, tightly controlled manufacturing facilities (cleanrooms) across the country for the Life Science sector, serving industries such as Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Automotive, and Medical Device. They manufacture offsite modules that can be shipped to project sites worldwide for rapid installation. The business is doubling in size year on year and is looking for highly dynamic, positive, driven individuals to join our team and share in our incredibly exciting journey. Ideally you will be based down the M62 corridor near Leeds, Manchester, Rochdale etc
Responsibilities
Constructing controlled environments: Often with modular components, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other structural and mechanical components as required for each project site.
Silicon sealing: Performing to an exceptionally high standard at a quick pace.
Supporting construction tasks: For manufactured products.
On-site translation: Interpreting technical drawings and design packs into fully assembled, correctly installed technical facilities.
Communication: Maintaining good communication with directly employed labour, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Health & safety adherence: Ensuring on-site health & safety and site maintenance.
Daily task management: Working closely with the Installation Manager to ensure all daily tasks are understood and completed within the desired timeframe.
Quality assurance: Delivering all projects to the highest standard and conducting continuous snagging and rectification works.
Active involvement: Being actively involved in the delivery of the installation, requiring the Installation Engineer to be ‘on the tools’ for the entirety of their working day.
Technical understanding: Demonstrating technical understanding, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a desire to ensure the job is complete.
Travel: Willingness to stay away overnight for a minimum of four nights per week (all travel and expenses paid).
