As part of the TUV family Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) formerly ABB’s UK technical engineering consultancy to source a Cat 4 Pressure Equipment Engineer.
Main Accountabilities
* Examination of pressurised static equipment in accordance with the Written Scheme of Examination WSE
* Undertaking simple NDT – ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant
* Preparation of clear reports including photographs
* Assessment of deterioration
Requirements
Essential
Ability to accurately follow procedures
· Understanding of engineering principles
· Ability to interact and work with others
· Mechanical Engineering background
Desirable
· Experience in chemical and/or oil and gas sector
· Appreciation of pressure equipment
· Experience / appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT)
Qualifications and Experience
· Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
· Engineering Technician status desirable
· 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician
