About the role
Our Structures Asset comprises over 2600 individual highway structures ranging from small span structures to the QEII Bridge at the Dartford River Crossing. The role of Inspections Logistics Manager is a high-level manager who will oversee the operation and performance of the Structures Inspection Teams.
As the Inspections Logistic Manager, you will be responsible for developing the planning and delivery of all access arrangements to allow inspections to go ahead. This will include the booking of traffic management on strategic highways and local roads, the booking and arrangement of access equipment (MEWPs Etc), as well as implementing strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives by reducing impact on our customers.
What you'll be doing
Managing and planning the programmes of work including Principal Inspections, General Inspections and Special Inspections throughout the network to specific timeframes and published requirements.
Liaising with the Inspectors and 3rd Parties to ensure Road space, traffic management and access arrangements are in place.
Work collaboratively with internal sub business units as well as other 3rd parties’ bookings for more collaborative working within the Area 5 DBFO, to ensure all and any road space sharing opportunities are taken advantage of
The ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
Responsibility of recording spends and forecast of traffic management and access equipment costs within the project against forecast budget
Collaboration with Scheme and Service Delivery Teams in planning of the delivery of inspections and surveys.
Who we're looking for
TSCO Qualification or Experience as a TSCO
Proven relevant experience in traffic management and chapter 8.
Previous knowledge and understanding of access requirements for structural inspections
Good understanding of Health and Safety and hold a valid CSCS card (desirable).
Knowledge and experience of the National Highways NOMs database and Bridge Management Systems (desirable).
Experience of traffic management drawings and layouts.
Current UK driving license
