Insight Planner
Location - Manchester Hybrid 1 to 2 days per week in the office
Rate £650 pd Inside IR35/Umbrella
Role Details:
The Insight Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that research, analysis and data are used to inform decision making across the directorate, to increase knowledge of our users’ behaviour, motivations and context for all colleagues but especially SLT, and to communicate all of this in clear, engaging, narrative driven ways. The post holder will synthesise evidence from multiple sources: including quantitative data, qualitative research, evaluation, behavioural data and external insight into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions. They will work closely with the Lead User Researcher in the team to focus their effort on priority pieces. A key part of this role is also to upskill, coach and enable other colleagues in the Insight & Analytics team in story telling, producing clear, compelling narratives from synthesising multiple sources and working with Stakeholders to ensure that these communications cut through, influence decisions and push a user centred agenda.
Experience Required:
Experience of synthesising multiple sources of data and insights and compiling into compelling stories
Excellent communicator, both in presentation skills and pulling together slide decks/visuals and innovative content
Strategic thinker who can join the dots and identify themes within qual and quant data
A knowledge of Story telling / Narratives
Qualitative, quantitative, behavioural and other data
User and human-centred
Excellent collaborator, focusses on working with others
Ideally if you have managed a team in the past, while you won’t be managing in this role, you will need to get the best out of others within the team
Must have experience in large scale, complex organisations, as opposed to smaller scale start ups/agencies
This is a new role within a newly formed team, the existing team consists of performance analysts, user researchers, a designer, product manager and delivery manager.
There is lots of opportunity to shape the work and get things set things up, so the team needs a self-starter/go getter who will proactively seek out the work required
An understanding on the product space and how this differs to market research and Team work is crucial for this role
