We supply all the major supermarkets in the UK. We also supply convenience and travel retail outlets, discounters, coffee shops, foodservice, and other retailers. We have strong market positions in a range of categories including sandwiches, salads, sushi, chilled snacking, chilled ready meals, chilled soups and sauces, chilled quiche, ambient sauces and pickles, and frozen Yorkshire Puddings.

In FY22 we manufactured 795m sandwiches and other food to go products, 127m chilled prepared meals, and 249m bottles of cooking sauces, pickles, and condiments. We carry out more than 10,600 direct to store deliveries each day. We have 21 world-class manufacturing units across 16 locations in the UK, with industry-leading technology and supply chain capabilities. We generated revenues of £1.7bn in FY22 and employ approximately 14,000 people.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Insights Manager to join our team, and become a beacon of insight-driven leadership within our organisation. This pivotal role will shape our strategic direction by developing and sharing a deep understanding of consumer behaviour.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As the go to insight partner for our category management team and wider business, you'll advocate for the shopper and consumer, shaping our vision and influencing business decisions to ensure consumers are prioritised.
Key responsibilities include:
* Partner with Category Managers across all Greencore customers and categories to develop credible consumer-centric rationale to support across all levels of customer engagement. Respond to questions and requests with a clear `insight perspective'
* Address ad-hoc research requests from stakeholders by identifying project objectives and designing and managing research using appropriate methodologies
* Actively seek out knowledge from primary and secondary sources. Leverage external data sources, continuous insight initiatives and ad-hoc projects to understand consumer sentiment, attitudes and behaviour and potential strategic implications for Greencore.
* Liaise with partner agencies (including our established consumer community) to co-ordinate all aspects of consumer research, including scoping, briefing, reviewing proposals, project managing fieldwork and de-briefing to the wider business and customers as appropriate.
* Actively engage with new agencies to ensure Greencore remains at the forefront of new and emerging consumer behaviours and research methodologies.
* Own reporting of latest insight and consumer data to the wider business, through the delivery and development of the monthly Greencore Consumer Spotlight report, and support Insight Controller on `Strategic Insight Reviews'
* Play an active role in creating and developing our Category Vision, Themes & Trends and Greencore SOTN documents.
* Manage the internal library (`Insight Hub') and associated training programme as required to ensure our insights and self-serve resources are easy to access.
* Line management responsibility - Insight Exec

This role will involve travel for internal meetings and visits to customers and agency partners and therefore you must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

If you're captivated by the intricacies of human behaviour and possess an innate curiosity about people that fuels your pursuit of knowledge, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be commercially aware, proactive and passionate about people.
You will be skilled at seeking out, collating, analysing, connecting and interpreting consumer and shopper data from various sources to generate actionable insights. A demonstrable background in successfully managing research projects is essential. Experience of managing collaborative agency relationships would also be useful.
You will have strong presentation and storytelling skills, and the ability to articulate insights to all levels of stakeholders with passion and energy
