Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm - 40 hours per week, Voluntary overtime available for holiday cover and high production periods

Reporting To: Sales Director / Technical Sales Manager
Our client is seeking 2 in-plant 'Ink Technicians' to work alongside the current Senior Technician to assist, learn, and develop the skills required to run a busy ink department within one of their customer sites in West Yorkshire.
Duties & Responsibilities: (Training given)
Providing a consistent timely ink dispensing service in line with the daily production plan.
Ink formulating, mixing and matching using spectrophotometer and proofing equipment.
Ensuring all operating and health and safety procedures are adhered to, reporting any safety incidents to management.
Carrying out any necessary colour corrections on press.
Maintain stock control of all inks, varnishes, and cleaning products, by doing routine stock counts, and ordering products in a timely manner when required.
Ensure absolute departmental cleanliness as well as inspecting and cleaning the dispensing and ancillary equipment daily, reporting any faults.
Control and organise the safe removal of all the empty waste tubs and ink.
Supporting production ink trials and press passes.Additional / Key Skills:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Supervisors, senior staff, and customers.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
Further integration with other departments within the company, making the ink department as productive and efficient as possible.Requirements:
Previous experience working with printing inks or similar products such as paints is beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience with ink dispensing systems is beneficial but not essential.
Good communication and numerical skills.
Ability to use own initiative and good organisational skills.
Must have excellent good colour vision and attention to detail.
Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast-moving demanding environment.
Maintain the high standards set within the business.
Good attendance and timekeeping.
Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office and ink formulation software such as IF6 would be beneficial.
A full and clean UK driving licence
