What are the main duties of this role?
* - To operate injection moulding machines and equipment to produce products to meet schedule demand (Engel and Negri-Bossi experience an advantage)
* - To effectively manage the setup, safe operation, troubleshooting, enhancement, and secure shutdown of tooling and processing equipment linked with Injection Moulding activities, as well as the production and distribution of PVC goods to inventory and the logistical operations of the company, it's imperative to possess the requisite attitude, approach, expertise, and awareness.
* - To uphold precise records and systems at the necessary level, facilitating the monitoring and validation of equipment and process efficacy, along with maintaining records documenting output volume and productivity levels.
* - To guarantee that output meets the targeted cost, quality, and time specifications, it's crucial to observe and report any deviations from the expected performance criteria or operating parameters. This entails conducting monitoring, tests, and checks diligently and accurately to ensure that output and performance align with the expected parameters and comply with applicable standards or specifications.
* - To sustain a thorough understanding of processing techniques, facilitating precise and efficient handling of materials utilized throughout the moulding operation and the various processes involved in delivering the final output.
* - To uphold exceptional housekeeping standards within your workspace, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for work. It's essential to adhere to safety standards throughout the work area and carry out tasks in accordance with agreed-upon safe practices and legal regulations.
* - To work effective as a team to achieve company-wide success.
What are we looking for:
* - Experience within an Injection Moulding production / engineering environment – to include demonstrable knowledge Tool Setting, Materials processing, Packing, Automation systems and robotics and ancillary and down-stream production equipment.
* - Demonstrable materials processing knowledge of PVC.
* - Experience of setting, operating and troubleshooting a wide range of production tooling within an Injection Moulding environment.
* - Production Schedule Management Skills – the ability to work to plan and troubleshoot in delivering production objectives within agreed time scales and costs.
* - Quality Management – to include process management and the ability to adhere to and improve agreed procedures.
* - Experience of 6 axis robotics and beam robots
* - Previous experience working with material such as PVC, Polycarbonate and ABS NVQ Level 2 Moulding / relevant City & Guilds Qualification
* - Ability / aptitude for manual/mechanical work
* - Effective team working
* - Understanding of automation, machinery and tool care knowledge
* - Experience of Microsoft based computer software
