Job Overview: Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an Injection Moulding Setter to join their team.

Remit:

* Candidates MUST HAVE several years’ experience in setting, conditioning, maintenance and process optimization of injection moulding machines.

* The role of Injection Moulding Setter is to undertake safe, accurate and efficient setting of the machines and tools to achieve the company’s safety, quality and production targets.

Role:

* Start up and shut down injection mould machines, as per procedures following all instructions on setting sheets including water connection diagrams.

* Operate injection moulding machines, robots & ancillary equipment

* Perform tool changes to conform with safe working practices and procedures.

* Complete last off checks, record and store moulding appropriately

* Raise first off paperwork and give to Quality Engineer

* Record start up scrap on scrap sheet.

* Trial new tools to the correct procedure

* Discuss any tooling issues with Shift Manager

* Good Housekeeping (5S)

* Optimise machine Cycle times. Ensure parts are running to cycle, and report to the shift manager if the cycle time is not running to costed cycle.

* Participate in and actively promote the company’s continuous improvement program).

Experience:

* Previous experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment is essential.

* Recognised industry qualification would be an advantage

* Be experienced in trouble shooting and problem solving & tool trials

* Have knowledge of process optimisation, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
