Infrastructure Engineer needed for a leading engineering firm based in the New Malden and Portsmouth areas.
What the role of the Infrastructure Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Infrastructure Engineer will include:
Generation of design, test and installation documentation
Design proving, including environmental and Electro Magnetic Compatibility aspects
Investigation and resolution of design issues
Design and build of the electrical and hardware system to achieve successful acceptance (FAT(E))
Support to development systems
Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
Use of Visio for Hardware designWhat experience you need to be the successful Infrastructure Engineer:
Essential:
An Engineer with experience in a hardware domain
Knowledge and experience in COTS hardware
A can-do, enthusiastic attitude and enquiring mind, with a flexible approach and openness to involvement in all aspects of the team's work Desirable:
Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet designs, wiring schedules, power distribution would be especially desirable
Experience working with the Defence sectorIn order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
