Infrastructure Engineer
MSP - 3rd Line - Escalations - Projects
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Stockport. This is a great opportunity to work across a variety of client environments, supporting and delivering infrastructure, networking, and cloud projects.
Role Overview
* Support and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure across multiple client environments.
* Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies.
* Support datacentre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
* Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network connectivity.
* Administer Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 environments.
* Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technical projects.
* Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Requirements
* Proven Infrastructure Engineer experience, ideally within an MSP.
* Strong knowledge of on-remise infrastructure, Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V.
* Hands-on datacentre, server, and storage experience.
* Solid networking skills, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
* Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Azure.
* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills.
