The role:

We are seeking an experienced AutoSys Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimise enterprise workload automation solutions using Broadcom AutoSys Workload Automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex job scheduling environments, ensuring high availability of critical business processes, automating operational workflows, and providing production support across enterprise infrastructure platforms.

This role requires strong expertise in AutoSys administration, Unix/Linux systems, scripting and automation, and enterprise-level troubleshooting within mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain enterprise job scheduling solutions using AutoSys Workload Automation.
Develop and manage job definitions using JIL (Job Information Language).
Monitor and support AutoSys environments including Event Processors, Application Servers, Agents, and Web Control Centre (WCC).
Troubleshoot job failures, performance bottlenecks, scheduling issues, and agent communication problems.
Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
Manage workload scheduling across distributed and cloud-based environments.
Implement security and access controls using Embedded Entitlements Manager (EEM).
Coordinate with infrastructure, application, database, and business teams to ensure successful execution of critical workloads.
Support production incidents and participate in on-call rotations where required.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures for recurring issues.
Manage change requests, releases, patches, and upgrades in line with ITIL best practices.
Develop operational documentation, runbooks, and scheduling standards.
Support cloud-based deployments and containerised AutoSys environments. 

Skills & Experience:

Expert knowledge of Broadcom AutoSys Workload Automation.
Strong experience with:
AutoSys Event Processors
AutoSys Agents
Web Control Centre (WCC)
Job Information Language (JIL)
Calendars and scheduling policies
Box jobs and complex dependency management
AutoSys upgrades, patching, and configuration management
Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn)
 Python
Perl
PowerShell
AWS
Kubernetes
Docker Desirable skills:

3+ years supporting AutoSys environments.
Experience within large enterprise or financial services environments.
Experience supporting 24/7 production systems.
Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects
