Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid
About the Role: Here at Khuda Technology, we are partnering with a leading Managed Service Provider to find a 3rd Line Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for our cloud-based Windows infrastructure, focusing on Azure and AWS environments. As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will leverage your extensive expertise in Windows servers 2012/2016/2019 technologies, alongside your proficiency in Office 365 and on-premise Exchange, to resolve complex issues and optimize system performance. Additionally, your strong PowerShell scripting skills, combined with your knowledge of SCOM and SCCM, will be essential in automating tasks and ensuring efficient system management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver advanced technical support for cloud-based Windows infrastructure, including Azure and AWS.
* Investigate and resolve intricate issues related to Windows servers (2012/2016/2019), Office 365, and on-premise Exchange.
* Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and streamline system management processes.
* Employ SCOM and SCCM for system monitoring, management, and optimization.
* Manage virtual servers, NSGs, and implement automation practices in cloud environments.
* Possess desirable certifications in Windows Server and Azure technologies.
* Demonstrate commercial knowledge and experience in delivering services to clients within the full scope of Windows infrastructure.
* Showcase strong presentation skills, technical problem analysis, report/proposal writing, and relationship building.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in a similar 3rd Line Technical Support role.
* In-depth knowledge and problem-solving experience with Windows servers (2012/2016/2019) and cloud-based technologies.
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
* Familiarity with SCOM, SCCM, and other monitoring tools.
* Strong cloud practice management skills, including virtual server management, NSG management, and automation.
* Must have certifications in Windows Server and Azure technologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
