Infrastructure Analyst
Liverpool or Manchester | Hybrid, 2 Days On-Site

An experienced Infrastructure Analyst is required for our legal client as they continue an ambitious technology transformation and infrastructure modernisation programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative infrastructure team supporting a modern technology estate across the UK and internationally. You'll work across a mix of BAU, infrastructure projects and cloud adoption initiatives, with exposure to technologies including Microsoft Azure, VMware, Software Defined WAN and SaaS/IaaS platforms. The role would suit an Infrastructure Analyst or Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on technically but also wants the opportunity to take ownership of technical delivery, contribute to projects and work with new and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure services
Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial requirements and implementation through to BAU support
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and act as an escalation point
Support Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions
Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Architecture, Project Management and Service Desk teams
Contribute to infrastructure transformation and service improvement initiatives
Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans and recovery procedures
Support knowledge transfer across the wider IT function.Essential Skills
Strong VMware administration and maintenance experience
Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID and application configuration
Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Sites & Services
Windows file services, including DFSR
Disaster Recovery and High Availability technologies
Networking fundamentals, including routing and troubleshooting
Monitoring technologies such as SolarWinds, SNMP or similar
Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Desirable Skills
Experience across any of the following would be beneficial:
Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams and Intune
Azure Virtual Machines
SSO, MFA and SAML
Hyper-V
FortiGate, Zscaler or Aruba
Mimecast
PowerShell and infrastructure automation
ITIL Foundation
Microsoft certifications including AZ-900, AZ-104 or AZ-700
An interest in Cyber Security
Legal applications such as iManage, Aderant, BigHand or SharedoYou won't be expected to be an expert across every technology. The team has a broad and evolving technology stack and is looking for someone with strong core infrastructure skills, a willingness to learn and the confidence to take ownership of new technical workstreams. Where possible, training is provided on new and emerging technologies.
