BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Information Security Project Specialist, reporting to Director-Security. The position will involve a mixture of working from home, and can be based at any UK&I Regional office location. BAM Operate a flexible working policy.
The Information Security Project Specialists role is to maintain and optimize the Information Security posture of the information systems and assets for high risk projects in the UK&I.
Your mission
• The Information Security Project Manager ensures the operational effectiveness of security management in the projects they are assigned to.
• Planning and budgeting to motivational and promotional activities expounding the value of information security
• Liaison with and offers strategic direction to related project functions
• Leads the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Information Security measures based on the ISO/IEC 27000 series standards and Cyber Essentials+.
• Leads or commissions the preparation and authorizes the implementation of necessary information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, in conjunction with the Information Security Manager UK&I.
• Leads the design and operation of related monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance with internal and external security policies.
• Leads suitable information security awareness, training and educational activities.
• Leads information security risk assessments and controls selection activities.
Who are we looking for?
• A comprehensive knowledge of the standards which govern security of information systems and assets
• Technical competence in Information security and the application of Information security measures, security risk assessment and management
• Knowledge of Information systems audits to detect security incidents and awareness of securing chain of custody of evidence for internal & criminal investigations.
• Generic management competencies including: - managing staff - managing contracts - developing policy, and - developing and administering budgets.
• Has a process and service mind, collaborative attitude, self-supporting and client focused Comfortable working with and managing virtual teams;
• Excellent reporting, planning, negotiating and influencing skills
• Needs to understand Information Security Management principles (ISO2700x, Cyber Essentials, CobIT IT Risk, Security governance principles and ITIL);
• Knowledge of the legal, governmental and sector security requirements for building maintenance, construction and infrastructure
• Experience working with external stakeholders in law enforcement, audit, testing, investigations, and intelligence.
Experience and education
• BSc in information security
• Needs to have or obtain Security Clearance (existing security clearance is preferred).
• Preferably have a certification such as: CISSP, GSEC, GCIH.
• Should have mid to senior level of work experience 5 to 7 years of work experience in the domain of Information Security
• Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, lack of criminal convictions etc.), willing to undergo vetting
• Proficiency leading and managing incident response and analysis, information security events, violations and incidents.
