Are you an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager with a passion for Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and operational excellence?
We are seeking a talented engineering leader to manage and develop an Industrial Engineering team within a highly successful electromechanical manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in driving productivity, improving manufacturing performance and supporting future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Improve productivity, labour efficiency, quality and throughput
Develop labour standards, time studies and capacity planning models
Optimise manufacturing processes, factory layouts and material flow
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, productivity and utilisation
Lead value stream mapping and process improvement projects
Support automation, process optimisation and capital investment projects
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams
About You
Degree qualified in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
Previous experience leading Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering teams
Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
Experience within low to medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
Strong understanding of capacity planning, labour standards and production processes
CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
Excellent analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs
Desirable
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above
Experience within electromechanical, automotive, robotics, automation or precision engineering sectors
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and automation technologies
Experience delivering capital investment and productivity improvement projects
