Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you have a desire to support vulnerable adults? Could you be the voice they need? We are currently looking for an Independent Advocate to join our vibrant team, serving the beautiful Gloucestershire area on an exciting and impactful Advocacy contract.

As an Independent Advocate, you will provide essential support to adults with profound and multiple needs. You will be a voice for those who struggle to speak for themselves, collaborating with public and voluntary organisations to explore options and take necessary actions. The role involves handling sensitive information confidently, working independently with a flexible approach, and managing time efficiently. A comprehensive induction, training schedule, and peer support will be provided to help you thrive in this role.

Hours of Work: Part-time, 22.2 hours per week, across 3 days, typically Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Location: Home based with travel across Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. (Applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport)

Contract type: Fixed Term until May 2025

Independent Advocate Requirements:

Experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or voluntary settings.
Proven track record of working with vulnerable adults and those with significant health and social care issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management and computer literacy.
Full driving licence and access to own transport; must reside within the Gloucestershire area.
Independent Advocate Benefits:

Competitive salary: £13,029.00 - £13,975.20 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits.
