We're recruiting for an Income Officer to join a Housing Association in Manchester!

We're looking for an experienced Income Officer to join a Housing Association on an initial contract, with potential opportunities for extension or a permanent position.

Responsibilities include:

* Managing rent accounts and monitoring rent arrears.

* Contacting tenants to discuss outstanding balances and agree repayment plans.

* Taking proactive steps to prevent and reduce rent arrears.

* Supporting tenants experiencing financial difficulties and helping them access relevant support.

* Negotiating affordable repayment arrangements and monitoring progress.

* Working closely with housing management and tenancy sustainment teams.

* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring cases are managed effectively.

Essential experience: Previous experience in income management, rent arrears recovery or housing-related services is essential. We're looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills who can manage a caseload effectively, handle sensitive situations confidently and support vulnerable tenants.

* Location: Manchester

* Role: Income Officer

* Contract: Interim contract, with potential extension or temp-to-perm opportunities

* Working pattern: Monday–Friday

* Workplace: Remote / home-based, One day a month office preference.
