We are recruiting for Income & Assessment Assistants to work in Client Financial Services.
Client Financial Services sits within Finance & Public Value, supporting Adult Social Care. The service provides Financial Assessment, Income Collection and debt Management functions to Devon County Council, providing benefit awareness support to clients and generating income from chargeable social care totalling £60+ million.
The Income and Assessment Assistant role sits within both the Financial Assessment and Income & Debt Management Teams.
Financial Assessment Team: responsible for carrying out Financial Assessment and Benefit Entitlement activity for clients of the Adult Social Care Directorate (including Mental Health Services) in accordance with both national legislation and local government charging policies.
Income & Debt Management Team: responsible for ensuring that charges due in respect of social care and support contributions are paid, providing a variety of payment options, and ensuring high value debts are secured.
