Inclusion Teaching Assistant Required - Secondary School & Sixth Form

An inclusive and welcoming Secondary School and Sixth Form in Perry Barr is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Teaching Assistant to join their team from the start of the new academic year in September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive and nurturing environment.

The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is recognised for its strong inclusive ethos, positive relationships, and commitment to ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed.

The Role

As an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support students with SEND across KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form.

* Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to deliver tailored support strategies.

* Assist students within lessons and through targeted interventions.

* Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

* Support students with social, emotional, and academic development.

* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is ideally looking for an experienced Inclusion Teaching Assistant who:

* Has previous experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting.

* Is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Can work effectively both independently and as part of a wider support team.

* Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.
