Our Wakefield based client is now looking to expand their team and seeking to hire an Import Merchandiser. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the company success and enjoy a dynamic work environment.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have demonstrable experience in import merchandising and dealing with the high street retailers.

Your Role as an Import Merchandiser:

You'll manage the critical path from purchase order to customer delivery. You'll ensure seamless communication across the supply chain, making you a vital member of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management: Place and manage Sales Orders/Purchase Orders on company systems.
Customer Coordination: Agree on and negotiate delivery dates, keeping customers updated on their orders.
Supplier Liaison: Work with overseas suppliers to agree on ship-dates and approval timelines.
Technical Collaboration: Ensure factories have all necessary information and approvals, working closely with internal teams.
Design and Licensing: Track design amendments and ensure timely product approvals, including licensing requirements.
Shipping Coordination: Ensure goods are processed and delivered on time, liaising with shipping and distribution teams.
Packaging & Labels: Coordinate packaging and labelling for customer orders.
Project Support: Assist the Merchandise Manager with various projects.

What You Need to Succeed:

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential, as accurate spreadsheet updates are a key part of the role.
Experience: Previous experience in import merchandising and dealing with high street customers.
Skills: Strong computer literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills.
