Hygiene Operatives Required - Alfreton, Derbyshire

We are currently recruiting Hygiene Operatives to join a well-established and growing food production company in Alfreton, Derbyshire. As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the production facility, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety regulations.

Pay Rates

Days & Afternoons: £13.27 per hour
Nights: £15.77 per hour

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a rotating 3-shift system:

Days
Afternoons
NightsLocation: Alfreton, Derbyshire

Pay Rate: £13.27 per hour (Days & Afternoons) | £15.77 per hour (Nights)

Hours: Full Time, Temporary ongoing

Shift Pattern: Rotating 3 Shift System (Days (Apply online only) , Afternoons (Apply online only) and Nights Sun to Thurs (Apply online only))

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Nights: Sun to Thursday

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitising food production equipment and machinery.
Deep cleaning production areas, workstations, and factory environments.
Following strict food safety and hygiene procedures.
Safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Completing cleaning records and documentation accurately.
Ensuring all hygiene standards comply with company and industry regulations.
Supporting production teams in maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Adhering to Health & Safety policies at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Hygiene Operative, Industrial Cleaner, Factory Cleaner, Production Cleaner, or Cleaning Operative is desirable but not essential.
Experience within food manufacturing, food production, FMCG, warehousing, or industrial environments is advantageous.
Ability to work rotating shifts including nights.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Understanding of hygiene standards and food safety practices is beneficial.
Own transport may be advantageous due to shift start and finish times.
