TM Scotland East Kilbride & Glasgow branch are excited to be recruiting for our brand new client based in the heart of East Kilbride who are a leading provider of high-quality red meat products.
Our client is looking for an experienced hygiene minder to add to their team on a temp to perm basis in which you will work through TaskMaster on a probationary period and then be offered a permanent contract with our client.
Hours of work:
Tuesday to Friday (9pm to 5.30am) Saturday (9pm to 4.30am)
You will be working alongside the nightshift hygiene team and will cover all areas of the site requiring a level of flexibility between shifts. You will report to the Hygiene Supervisor/Manager and will be responsible for the following:
* Aiming to adhere to the cleaning frequency schedule to meet the set down cleaning instruction methodology for all machinery on site.
* Have a knowledge of machine setting / Minding and work to improving standards while monitoring the integrity of the machines.
* Be able to escalate problems to the Hygiene Supervisor, Manager and engineering with the aim to resolve prior to production start-up.
* Provide completed documentation for the hygiene minder duties completed.
* Reduce customer complaints through implementing a high level of strip down machinery obtaining good hygiene practices at all times.
* GMP awareness.
* Comply with H&S requirements.

What skills and experience do we require to be successful for the position?
* Proficiency in basic English language skills.
* Level 2 Food Safety.
* Allergen awareness is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
* Chemical safety certificate.
* Previous experience working within a similar environment and role.
