Opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Manager, or somebody at Supervisor looking for progression, to lead the hygiene function at an established food manufacturer in a days based role.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, you'll be joining a family owned food business and leading a hygiene team providing 24/7 support to the site. they supply a range of ambient products into several major retailers, and you'll be leading an experienced team in a business proud of its collaborative and supportive culture.
Days based, Monday - Friday, although some flexibility may be required, with a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience).
The site is easily accessible from Leeds, Harrogate, York, and surrounding areas.
About the Role:
As the site's Hygiene Manager, you'll be leading a relatively hygiene team, so you'll be visible across the site, working closely with operations and technical to make sure strong hygiene and food safety standards are maintained.
Some of the things you'll be doing include:
Leading and coaching your team, developing their skills and creating consistent standards across the different shifts.
Taking ownership of hygiene schedules, cleaning systems and risk assessments, making sure they work in practice rather than simply on paper.
Working closely with operations and technical to maintain high standards without losing sight of what's happening in production.
Playing an active part in customer and third-party audits, including presenting data and supporting equipment inspections.
Keeping on top of the wider hygiene function, including allergen controls, environmental results, pest control, waste and hygiene costs.About You:
Experience within hygiene in food manufacturing, either as a Hygiene Manager or at Supervisor/Team Leader level and ready for more responsibility.
A confident people manager who enjoys coaching, training and getting the best from a small team.
Good working knowledge of food hygiene, GMP and hygiene management systems, with Level 3 HACCP.
Comfortable dealing with audits and customer standards, with knowledge of allergens, pest control and waste management.
Someone who's happy being visible on the factory floor and can work with people across the site to solve problems and maintain standards.Why Apply?
