2020 Recruitment are working with our Fife based engineering client who are looking to add 2 Hydraulic Technicians to their team.

This is a permanent contract based in their Glenrothes facility. You will also be expected to work at other sites within the UK as and when required.

Job Role:

As a Hydraulic Technician you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of all hydraulic and mechanical systems within the workplace. Ensuring all systems operate as they should, safely and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic engineering drawings.

* Using measuring and recording equipment.

* Working with high pressures and pressures generating equipment.

* Carry out servicing and repairs on equipment as required.

* Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues.

* Overhauling and testing of pumps, motors, and control valves.

* Created detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, complete all paperwork required.

* Test procedures and carry out risk assessments.

* Present toolbox talks to the highest standards.

* Adhere to safety regulations and practises, ensuring all systems are safe for operation.

* Maintain records of service reports and always apply to company policies.

Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this role you must have the following skills and experience:

* Be a time served tradesman with a hydraulic or mechanical background.

* SVQ level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent.

* Demonstrate a high standard in competition of tasks associated with the role as a Hydraulic Technician as defined above.

* Have a good understanding of safe working practices, demonstrating your ability to work unsupervised.
