Ashford Environmental are looking for a HVAC Junior Estimator to join the business on a permanent basis at our office based in the City of London. The successful candidate will play a direct role in the future success of the business, providing existing and new clients with comprehensive quotes to assist them with their tender submissions, with the overall objective of generating additional work. This position would suit either someone with a background in HVAC estimating or an established engineer who is looking for a change in focus. This role will be dynamic, interesting and you will have plenty of opportunity to develop the role.

Duties will include but not limited to:
* Manage the tender bid process from receipt of initial enquiry and until final submission.
* Control and organise tender documentation, including checking that all the relevant information is included to enable a cost to be formulated.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, scope of works and other documentation to prepare a compliant bid, including all clarifications and exclusions.
* Communicate with Directors and Contracts Managers to determine future labour resources and likely logistical issues (if the project is abroad or in a remote location).
* Populate pricing schedules and/or documents to accompany a submission.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
* Develop and build effective relationships with new and existing clients.
Skills and experience
The right person will have:
* Prior experience in estimating or the Building Services industry
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
* Good Microsoft skills including Excel and Word
* Self-motivated and reliable
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
