Role:
As a HV Cable Engineer, you will be instrumental in the production or review of the HV cable aspects of different projects including onshore cable projects, offshore export cables and interconnectors being an interface with clients, understanding their needs and converting opportunities into successful workstreams. Your role will be critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of power distribution networks. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver bespoke solutions to a diverse client base, ranging from local energy suppliers to national grid operators.
Skills & Experience:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in high voltage cable engineering
- An understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies
- Proficiency in using design software for electrical systems
- Experienced in the design, manufacturing and testing of HV cables for use in HVAC and HVDC projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients and team members
