HUMANITIES TEACHER REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2026

TEMPORARY, FULL TIME

SALARY: MPR + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE

Tradewind Recruitment are proudly working alongside a progressive and vibrant school in the London borough of Bexley in their hiring of a talented, temporary teacher of Humanities from September 2026. The school takes pride in focusing on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in its care. In 2019, 60% of the school's students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Their Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C.

Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications. Under the arrangements for Summer 2021 examinations, students in Years 11 and 13 continued to make very good progress. Their flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at AS and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses.

Essential Criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and UK classroom experience
Ability to adapt teaching methods to a range of subjects and learning styles
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student wellbeing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and willingness to take on different roles within the classroom
UK driving license (desirable)Key Responsibilities:
