Teacher of Humanities

Full Time | Permanent | Start Date: September

Do you believe the best lessons spark curiosity, inspire debate and bring learning to life? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join our friendly and supportive team from September. Whether your specialism is History, Geography or Religious Studies, you'll be joining a school where creativity is encouraged, relationships matter and every day is a little different.

As a small secondary school in Bedford, we know our students as individuals. Our size is our strength-it allows us to create a genuine sense of community where staff work closely together, students feel valued and everyone is encouraged to get involved in school life.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically, ask questions and explore the world around them. You'll work alongside a collaborative team who enjoy sharing ideas, celebrating success and supporting one another.

We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has a passion for Humanities and enjoys bringing the subject to life.
Builds positive relationships with young people and has high expectations for every learner.
Is creative, enthusiastic and willing to try new ideas in the classroom.
Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
Holds QTS (or is working towards achieving it). Applications from ECTs and experienced teachers are equally welcome.
Why You'll Enjoy Working With Us

We believe happy staff create happy schools. That's why we offer:

A welcoming team who genuinely enjoy working together.
Students who are friendly, respectful and keen to learn.
Opportunities to be creative in your teaching and contribute to exciting trips, enrichment activities and whole-school events.
A commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development.
The chance to make a real difference in a school where everyone knows your name and your contribution is appreciated.

If you're looking for a school where you'll be supported, trusted and encouraged to enjoy your teaching, we'd love to meet you.
