This ambitious, growing business are a Tier 1 contractor to the Telecommunications sector working with major fibre infrastructure companies with the goal to transform rural locations through the provision of high speed broadband. Having rapidly grown over the last 4 years and with a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking for a HSEQ Officer to join the team.

In this role you will be based from the Penrith office and be split between the office and sites located across Cumbria. You will work in a team of 2 HSEQ coordinators and report into the Head of HSEQ. You will be responsible for managing the coordinators, dealing with issues on site, ensuring all investigations are up to date, taken place and followed up, attend client meetings, complete audits, provide training, give toolbox talks and communicate policies to managers. This is a very hands on role where you will be working across the business to ensure HSEQ standards are met and upheld.

This role is suited to a HSEQ professional from a construction background, ideally civils/utilities/telecoms/highways/earthworks/council who has a good understanding of HSEQ standards within the industry, holds HSEQ qualifications and has experience with ISO implementation. A full UK Licence will be required for this role.
