Reviewing RAMS, permits to work and safe isolation procedures.

Conducting site inspections, safety audits and toolbox talks.

*

Managing inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality records and nonconformities.

Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are completed.

*

Monitoring high-risk activities, including electrical work, lifting operations and working at height.

*

Maintaining documentation and ensuring installation and commissioning records are ready for handover.

*

Liaising with the client, contractors and site management teams.

What we're looking for

You'll need practical experience managing HSE and quality standards on industrial, power generation or major construction projects.

Essential requirements include:

*

At least five years' experience in HSE or quality, including two years in a site leadership capacity.

*

Experience on power generation or grid-scale BESS projects.

*

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 H&S qualification.

*

SMSTS or SSSTS.

*

ISO 9001 internal auditor training and experience managing nonconformities.

*

Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, CDM regulations and safe systems of work.

*

Appropriate CSCS or ECS card.

*

Confidence dealing directly with contractors, site management and clients.

Experience of electrical installations, battery storage systems, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 would be advantageous.

The contract

*

Location: Eggborough, North Yorkshire

*

Start date: 9 November 2026

*

Standard rate: £40 per hour

*

Additional hours and weekends: £60 per hour
