HSE Co-ordinator / Health & Safety Advisor
Shillito Group is recruiting for an experienced HSE Co-ordinator / Health & Safety Advisor to join an engineering and manufacturing environment.
This is a practical, site based role supporting the day to day management of Health, Safety and Environmental activity, with a focus on compliance, risk reduction and maintaining a positive safety culture.
The role
You'll be responsible for:
Supporting the completion and review of Risk Assessments, COSHH and PUWER assessments.
Carrying out workplace inspections and audits.
Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations.
Monitoring corrective and preventative actions.
Delivering HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Maintaining HSE records, systems and reporting data.
Providing practical day to day HSE guidance to managers, supervisors and employees.
Supporting environmental and health monitoring activity.
Helping drive continuous improvement across the site.
What we're looking for
You'll need previous Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment, with experience supporting risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations.
A NEBOSH General Certificate, or currently working towards it, is required, alongside IOSH Managing Safely.
You should also have a good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, risk assessment processes and safe systems of work.
Salary
£32,000 per annum
