Description:

Part-Time | 27–30 hours per week (typically 9:00am–3:00pm, flexibility available)

Help build a safer, more proactive workplace.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and personable HSE Advisor to join a well-established manufacturing business where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference.

This isn't a role where you'll spend all day behind a desk writing procedures. Instead, you'll be out on site, building relationships, engaging with colleagues across production and helping to create a culture where health, safety and environmental responsibility becomes part of everyday thinking.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive approach and can influence others through communication rather than authority.

Whether you're looking for your next step after a few years in HSE or you're already working in a similar environment and want a role with greater autonomy and flexibility, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

* Champion a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the site.

* Build strong relationships with production and operational teams to encourage safe working practices.

* Carry out routine inspections, audits and risk assessments, helping identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

* Support accident, incident and near miss investigations, ensuring lessons are shared and preventative actions are implemented.

* Deliver engaging toolbox talks and safety briefings.

* Assist with developing and maintaining HSE policies and procedures.

* Support emergency planning, training activities and compliance initiatives.

* Monitor HSE performance and work alongside management to continually improve standards.

* Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.

About You

You'll ideally have:

* Around 3–5 years' experience within a Health & Safety role in manufacturing, food production or another industrial environment.

* A NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).

* A practical understanding of UK HSE legislation.

* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage people at every level of the business.

* A proactive, approachable and positive personality.

* The ability to influence behaviours and build trust across operational teams.

* Good organisational skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Previous food manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

Technical knowledge is important, but personality is just as critical.

We're looking for someone who will become a visible presence across the site—someone who enjoys speaking with people, can challenge constructively, and is passionate about helping create a workplace where everyone takes ownership of health and safety.

You'll be joining a supportive leadership team who are committed to developing a more proactive safety culture and are looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.

What's on Offer

* Part-time role (27–30 hours per week)

* Typical working pattern of 9:00am–3:00pm with flexibility available.

* Opportunity to shape and influence the site's health and safety culture.

* Friendly and collaborative working environment.

* Long-term career development within a successful manufacturing business.

* Potential to visit other sites within the business portfolio, including EU and US.

Why this role?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed a solid grounding in health and safety and is ready to take on a role where they can really make an impact. You'll have the autonomy to influence change, work closely with operational teams, and help build a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility—not just the HSE team's
