Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
Are you passionate about promoting a positive health and safety culture? Yolk Recruitment is thrilled to support this exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and enhancing site policies. This dynamic role reports directly to the site Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and offers a chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
This is what you'll be doing:
Supporting the execution of on-site Health & Safety audits and inspections.
Overseeing and evaluating protective and preventive measures on-site, and assisting with their planning and implementation.
Collaborating with the HSE Manager to conduct Risk Assessments and develop Safe Working Practices (SWPs), focusing on risk reduction.
Assisting operations in reviewing and implementing SWPs.
Actively working to reduce accidents and near misses by preparing and delivering team briefs and Task Observation Behavioural Evaluation Reports.
Coordinating with departmental Managers to review Health & Safety reports and highlight any potential risks.
Aiding in Health & Safety investigations and gathering necessary information.
Conducting basic Health & Safety investigations.
Helping organise site training sessions, such as accident investigation and manual handling.And this is what you'll need:
NEBOSH certificate.
Problem solving leadership and effective communication skills.
