Description:
I am recruiting a H&S manager for a 6 month Interim contract for a Housing association in Yorkshire. They are a sought after company to work for and their people are at the heart of everything they do, they are forward thinking and want equally passionate people to join their team.
This pivotal role will provide strategic and operational leadership for health, safety, and well-being within the organisation. Ensuring compliance with legislative obligations and fostering a culture of best practice are central to its mandate.
Ideal candidates will have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, coupled with experience in managing health and safety teams and budgets. Candidates will ideally have worked with the sector or have worked for subcontractors who have served into the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for health and safety functions.
- Ensure assurance and compliance across critical processes.
- To manager their Health and Safety contractor and supplier frameworks.
- To liaise with the Maintenance Manager with all aspects of fire safety, ensuring compliance with all legislation.
- Lead health and safety audits, investigations, and reporting processes.
- To manage the H&S audits / inspections and ensure the completion of corrective actions
- To stay current with new and existing legislation to develop an effective health and safety programme.
