SF Partners are working with a successful, fast-growing business in Birmingham to recruit an HR & Recruitment Advisor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who is looking for a broad, hands-on generalist role where they can continue to develop their advisory experience. Working closely with an experienced HR Business Partner, you will support across the full employee lifecycle, combining recruitment, HR operations and first-line employee relations.
The business operates within a fast-paced commercial environment and has experienced significant growth. As a result, they are looking for someone proactive, organised and confident who enjoys taking ownership and delivering a high-quality service to both managers and employees.

The Role
This is a varied position where no two days will be the same. Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing end-to-end recruitment for assigned vacancies, including advertising, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers and onboarding
- Partnering with hiring managers to understand their recruitment requirements and support effective attraction and selection
- Preparing contracts, offer letters and other employment documentation
- Coordinating onboarding, offboarding, probation reviews and wider employee lifecycle processes
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Managing day-to-day HR queries and providing first-line guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes
- Supporting investigations, meetings and follow-up actions
- Preparing monthly payroll changes and ensuring information is accurate
- Producing HR reports, recruitment data and management information
- Supporting HR policy reviews, continuous improvement initiatives and wider people projects
- Providing some support with the smooth day-to-day running of the Birmingham office

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has gained experience within an HR Coordinator, HR Officer, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position and is now looking for a role offering further responsibility and development.

You will ideally have:
- Previous generalist HR experience
- Exposure to employee relations matters such as absence, disciplinary, grievance and/or capability
- Experience supporting or managing recruitment processes
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience using HR systems and/or Applicant Tracking Systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to use your own initiative
- CIPD Level 3 or above, or be working towards a CIPD qualification - advantageous but not essential
