HR Business Partner | Up to £50,000 | Hybrid (2 days onsite) | Hertfordshire
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established organisation undergoing continued change and transformation?
We are recruiting for an HR Business Partner to join a forward-thinking organisation based in Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on generalist role where you'll partner closely with managers across the business, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the employee lifecycle while leading on complex people matters.
Working in a hybrid environment, you'll play a key role in supporting organisational objectives, driving best practice and helping managers navigate a range of employee relations and change programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complex, high-volume employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues
Lead investigations, hearings and the production of outcome reports
Support and deliver organisational change initiatives, restructures and TUPE transfers
Provide expert advice on employment law, HR policy and best practice
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple service areas, influencing and challenging where appropriate
Partner with managers to drive effective people management practices and positive employee outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience
Previous experience within local government or the wider public sector (essential)
Strong end-to-end employee relations experience
Proven experience managing organisational change projects and TUPE transfers
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The confidence to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels
