Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skills Development Tutor specialising in HR to support learners in developing the knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes needed to achieve meaningful outcomes. You will deliver high-quality training and support across apprenticeship and employability programmes, helping individuals progress into sustainable employment while meeting key performance targets.
This is a predominantly home-based role with travel required to Manchester as needed. You will play a key role in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting learner progression and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
The role involves:

Managing a diverse caseload to support learner retention, achievement and progression
Designing and delivering tailored curriculum content to meet individual learner needs
Assessing learner work and providing clear, constructive feedback against set objectives
Monitoring learner progress and agreeing realistic targets to achieve KPIs
Identifying and managing risks to learner achievement and implementing support interventions
Maintaining accurate records of learner development and progression
Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and risk procedures are followed at all times
Using stakeholder feedback to enhance delivery and support continuous improvement
Contributing to quality assurance processes and team development initiativesYou’ll need:

A recognised assessor qualification (A1, D32/33 or TAQA)
A Level 5 qualification in HR or equivalent
Experience delivering teaching, learning and assessment (ideally 1–2 years)
Knowledge of HR apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment requirements
A teaching qualification (or working towards one) such as a Diploma in Education and Training
Experience developing engaging, learner-focused training materials
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and eLearning platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Coaching and mentoring skills to support learner development
The ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
