We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Organisational Design Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Organisational Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analysing, designing, and implementing effective team structures and related HR processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall effectiveness of the organisation.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs following the annual strategic workforce planning and develop tailored solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Linking organisational design to grading structure and preparing the foundations for career pathways, you will work closely with the HR centres of excellence (L&D and HR Operations & Rewards).

You will need to demonstrate that you can partner with business managers. You will be able to convince stakeholders that you are the trusted Organisation Design expert in the room, who has acquired a deep understanding of the business, thereby can offer appropriate challenge whilst building consensus. Skills in relationship building and influencing are essential.

This role reports to Global Head of HR Operations, Systems and Rewards at Lucy Group.

Key Deliverables

How you will make an impact at Lucy Group:

1.    You will take the time to understand business needs and strategy whilst being able to communicate and deliver effective team structures, working in collaboration with the two centres of excellence (Leadership, Coaching & Development, and HR Operations, Systems & Rewards).

2.    Develop and propose team structures that optimise efficiency, promote collaboration, and increase organisation effectiveness to deliver business strategic objectives.

3.    Integrate organisation design with grading structure and prepare the foundation for career pathways.

4.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and communicate organisational design changes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

5.    Provide guidance and support to managers and employees during the transition process, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation.

6.    Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness of organisational structures and adjust as necessary.

7.    Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in organisational design to continuously improve processes and strategies.

8.    You will be proactive, building mutually respectful relationships with stakeholders, whilst demonstrating excellent influencing skills.

9.    As a result of your deep experience and knowledge, you will be the trusted OD expert in management team meetings, offering appropriate challenge whilst building consensus.

10.    You will be a champion of having effective organisation structures and will share knowledge with other HR team members.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus. Minimum of CIPD level 5, ideally level 7.

•    5-10 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on organisation design and organisation effectiveness.

•    Experience of working in a matrix environment

•    Evidence of delivery of Change Management and Organisational Design programmes

•    Digital acumen and the ability to analyse Management Information and use for practical outputs

Skills & Expertise:

•    Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into organisation designs.

•    Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from around the business. As such, you will need to be able to present effectively to different levels of seniority as well as influence your stakeholders.

•    Experience as an Organisational Design Specialist or similar role, preferably within a large matrix organisation operating from multiple geographies.

•    Knowledge and experience of creating job architectures e.g. Korn Ferry and how this factors into organisational design.

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex organisational challenges.

•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously by working both as part of a team and independently.

•    Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and execute detailed project plans.

•    Familiarity with change management principles and practices with a demonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

•    Ability to use HR data, metrics, and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change across your business areas
