HR Manager, Part-time
Location: St Mellons, Cardiff
Hours: 22 hours per week, with flexibility around working pattern
Salary: Flexible, dependent on experience
We're recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join an established organisation in Cardiff on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on generalist position, suited to someone who is confident managing a broad range of HR matters independently while providing practical support to managers and employees.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice and support across the organisation.
Manage employee relations matters including grievances, performance and other sensitive or difficult conversations.
Advise managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
Review, develop and maintain HR policies and processes.
Support employee wellbeing and contribute to a positive working environment.
Provide practical advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
Manage general recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting managers with vacancies, new starter processes and inductions.
Work independently, taking ownership of HR issues through to resolution.
Liaise with external HR/legal advisers where specialist support is required.
Support the wider development of the HR function as the organisation continues to evolve.About you
CIPD qualified, with a completed professional qualification.
At least 3 years' generalist HR experience.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and employment legislation.
Able to work autonomously and confidently manage a varied HR workload
