A well-established and highly regarded group operating within the healthcare sector is looking to appoint an HR Manager to join its team near Birmingham. This is a genuine generalist role with real breadth — you'll be the go-to HR expert across the business, shaping people strategy one moment and getting stuck into hands-on casework the next.

What you'll be doing:
Acting as the trusted HR partner for managers and colleagues across the business, providing timely and commercially-minded advice
Owning the full spectrum of employee relations — disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and complex casework
Driving recruitment and onboarding, working closely with hiring managers to attract and retain the right talent
Shaping, reviewing and rolling out HR policies, procedures and frameworks in line with best practice
Championing learning and development initiatives across the group
Tracking key people metrics and using data to spot trends and inform decision-making
Ensuring the business stays fully compliant with UK employment law and internal policy
Leading on HR projects, change initiatives and organisational development work
Promoting employee engagement, wellbeing and an inclusive culture What we're looking for:
Proven track record in a generalist HR management role
CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified (or working towards)
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Confident writing, reviewing and implementing HR policies
Experience coaching and upskilling managers on people matters
Solid exposure to employee relations casework from start to finish
Excellent communication and influencing skills — able to hold your own with senior stakeholders
Highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and manage your own workload
A hands-on, pragmatic and solution-focused approach
Healthcare experience is not required — strong generalist HR managers from any sector are welcomed Why this role?
